Luther and the Church
What is the true Church according to Martin Luther? How did he defined and defend it? What are the characteristics of the true church? Is it protestants or just the Lutheran Church? What were some of the things going on at the time made Luther focused on the make-up of the church? Please share some insights on this topic. Thanks. CM

According to Luther the true church is the true believers. It is not an organization or institution.

Reformed,
If this is so, what are the principle beliefs of the true believers? This is not a trick question or to stump you. It's for enlightenment. Thanks. CM

From the OP, I asked:
What were some of the things going on at the time made Luther focused on the make-up of the church?
Did Luther find others deviating from the Word or the "true believers" were not clearly defined during his time? CM
