Public challenge to debate

@Mirwais Formully (Facebook)

Pick one of the topics we've been discussing, as long as the topic is not biased in itself, for example:

  • Who was the virgin Mary?
  • Which one is the God's word: the Quran or the Bible?

So you will have to defend your claims publicly without distracting and ignoring clear questions.

Proposed debate format and rules:

Video-by-video, published publicly on Facebook. Each video shall have a maximum length of five minutes, with a total of six videos per side (one initial statement, four rebuttals, and one final statement). You may choose whether you want to start.

We shall both waive our copyrights to the videos, so that we can both post the full debate on our pages respectively without copyright claims from the other side.

I'm waiting for your reply.

(This post will be cross-posted on Facebook. I'll add a link to the Facebook post in the comments.)

Thanks for sharing this is very Interesting, however I do not have a Facebook account, but if this were done on these forums or somewhere other than facebook I would be willing to help.

He chose not to take the challenge anyway, and instead kept sending one silly argument after another through personal messages, and ignored all my questions to him. It's very unlikely that there's going to be a debate.

It may be helpful for you to define God.

    • What does the word "Bible" means?
    • What's the purpose of God giving humanity the Bible?
    • What's the purpose of Muhammad giving the Qur’an?
    • Is Muhammad equal to God?
    • What did Muhammad create?
    • Is Muhammad alive today?

To stay focused on your questions the oneness of God is stressed several times in the OT because He alone is the true God and besides Him, there is none (see Deut 4:35, 39; Neh 9:6; Ps 86:10; Isa 44:6; Zech 14:9).

The New Testament authors proclaimed that God is one (see Mark 12:29; 1 Cor 8:5-6; Eph 4:6; 1 Tim 2:5; Jas 2:19).

    The Trinity in the New Testament: Matt 3:16- 17; John 3:34; 14:16-17; Acts 2:38-39; 5:29-32; 19:5-8; Rom 5:1-5; 8:9-11; 1 Cor 12:3-6; 2 Cor 13:14; Gal 4:6; Eph 1:13-14; 2:19-22; 3:1-7, 14-19; 4:4-6; 5:18-20; 1 Thess 1:2-5; 5:18-19; 2 Thess 2:13; 2 Tim 1:3-14; Heb 2:3-4; 6:4-6; 9:14; 1 Pet 1:2; 4:14; 1 John 4:2; 4:13-14; 5:5-9; Jude 20-21; Rev 1:4-5; 5:6-7; 14:9-13; 22:16-18.

In the event that you accept The Qur’an as the Muslims' "Holy Book", it attests that God is one (see Qur’an 3:2, 6, 18; 13:30; 16:17-20; 18:20, 21; 25:2-3; 35:3; 114:1-3). Happy studying. CM
